Tariq Saleh, U.S. Ambassador discuss Iran's threats in Yemen

The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Tariq Saleh affirmed that countering the terrorist Houthi militias' threat to the national, regional and international security requires a united international stance against the militias and a substantial and inclusive support for the internationally recognized Yemeni government to enforce its control over the country, eliminate the coup and stand on the side of the Yemeni people to build a state based on good neighborhood and solid partnership with the international community.

He made his comment today, Monday, during a telephone conversation with the American Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Steven Fagin.

They conferred over the developments in Yemen in light of the ongoing military operation led by the U.S. against Iran's agents in respond to their threats to the international marine navigation in the Red Sea.

Tariq Saleh asserted that the Yemeni peoples are capable to deter this spoiler scheme, stressing that the shortest way to undermine the Iranian threat in Yemen lies in developing an effective partnership with the internationally recognized government.

The two sides agreed that it is very important to take strict measures to ensure the protection of civilians and to concentrate the operations on the Iranian militias' leaders who engulfed Yemen in endless wars ever since the onset of their rebellion against the state.
