Yemen Participates in Arab-French Economic Summit

The Republic of Yemen has participated in the fifth session of the Arab-French Economic Summit, held in the French capital, Paris, under the patronage of President Emmanuel Macron, with the theme "Enhancing France's Status in the Arab World."

At the summit, attended by the representative of the Yemeni Chamber of Commerce, Abdulmajid al-Sa'adi, along with several French and Arab economic officials and experts, Yemen's Ambassador to France Dr. Riyadh Yasin emphasized the importance of this event in strengthening economic partnership between the Arab world and France.

He noted that this partnership serves as a model for fruitful cooperation in addressing common economic and political challenges.

He also referred to the noticeable improvement in security conditions in the temporary capital Aden, indicating that this stability presents a significant opportunity for implementing development projects that enhance the living standards of citizens and contribute to boosting the national economy.

He highlighted the importance of the Red Sea region, affirming that the strategic location of this area provides a unique opportunity to restore global trade movement and enhance regional and international cooperation.

He expressed his hope for the contribution of global companies to the reconstruction of Yemen and the implementation of strategic development projects, calling for the formulation of comprehensive plans and the optimal utilization of available opportunities to enhance economic partnership with Arab countries and France.

The summit discussed enhancing trade and investment between France and Arab countries, as well as public-private partnerships, focusing on vital sectors that contribute to sustainable development.
