The Head of the Intelligence and Reconnaissance Authority Major General Ahmed al-Yafaei met Tuesday here with the military attaché at the French Embassy in Yemen Major Gaudy Junaid.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in the Yemeni situation and ways to enhance cooperation and develop bilateral relations between the two armies and countries, particularly in the fields of training and qualification.
Major General al-Yafaei praised the role of the French military attaché and its interest in training and qualification, as well as supporting the opening of a French language department at the Military Language Institute.
He emphasized the importance of reinstating the educational seats in French military academies and colleges that were previously offered to the Yemeni army before 2015.
For his part, the French military attaché expressed his happiness with the visit to the temporary capital, Aden, and his eagerness for ongoing cooperation with the Ministry of Defense.
He reaffirmed his country's support for the Yemeni government to achieve security and stability.
