FM briefs Italian Senate official on Yemen developments and Houthi hostilities

Yemen foreign minister Dr. Shaya Zindani briefed the chair of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee of the Senate of Italy Stefania Craxi on the latest political, security and humanitarian developments in in Yemen, as well as the consequences of Houthi terror attacks on commercial vessels in the Bab al-Mandeb Strait and the Red Sea.

Minister Zindani made mention of Houthi hostilities and the militia's lack of serious reaction with international and regional overtures seeking to mediate for peace.

Zindani stressed the importance of parliamentary relations between Yemen and Italy, speaking highly of the historical bilateral relations and the Italian government's support for Yemen's Presidential Leadership Council, government, and people.
