Al-Arada praises ICRC's humanitarian interventions in Yemen

The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), Governor of Marib governorate Sultan al-Arada greatly valued the significant interventions and contribution of the International Committee for Red Cross (ICRC) to the humanitarian and relief actions in Yemen.

He also highly praised the ICRC's key roles in facilitating prisoner-exchange deals in our country in the previous years.
He voiced his comments during his conversations today, Sunday, with the Head of the Operations at the ICRC Delegation in Yemen who arrived in the city of Marib on a work visit to the governorate.

The Member of the PLC highlighted the need for further interventions by the ICRC in Marib governorate as it has received over 60 percent of the internally displaced persons in the country who fled their own regions due to the Houthi militias-triggered war.

The ICRC's official briefed al-Arada on the outcomes of her discussions with a number of the Yemeni government ministers over the joint cooperation about some humanitarian files which the ICRC is engaged in Yemen.
