His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) received today, Wednesday, at al-Ma'shiq Palace, in the temporary capital Aden, with the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya al-Zindani, the crediting documents of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Canada Jean-Philippe Linteau and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain Jorge Hevia Sierra.
His Excellency also received the credentials of the Ambassador of the Republic of Zambia Duncan Mulima and the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina Razem Choltch.
Following, the ceremonies, President al-Alimi met separately with the newly appointed Ambassadors to the Republic of Yemen who conveyed to him the greetings and best wishes of their own countries leaders.
The President welcomed the Ambassadors, promising them every necessary help they may need to do their diplomatic missions successfully, further promote bilateral relations of their countries with Yemen.
The Chairman of the PLC praised the good relations between Yemen and the countries of the newly appointed Ambassador, highly appreciating the steadfast positions of their friendly countries on the side of the Yemeni people, its political leadership and its struggle for restoring the state's institutions and eliminating the Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militias' coup.
The President stated that he is personally, the PLC's members, the Yemeni government and people are proud of the united position of the international community in support of the internationally recognized Yemeni government and leadership, its national institutions, sovereignty of Yemen, its independence and territorial integrity.
His Excellency touched upon the ongoing efforts to re-build the state's institutions in the temporary capital Aden, going on the comprehensive economic and administrative reforms and containing the repercussions of the terrorist attacks of the Houthi militias on oil facilities and international shipping lanes.
The President has confirmed that the PLC and the government are committed to the comprehensive peace approach, that is based on the peace references, which are nationally, regionally and internationally agreed on, the equal citizenship and bolstering the government's capacities to build the economy, provide basic services and enforce its control over all the Yemeni territories.
President al-Alimi reiterated the importance of reliance on the internationally recognized Yemeni government as a reliable partner to ensure the freedom of international navigation, fighting extremism, terrorism and marine piracy.
The President also stressed that it is very important for the international community to enforce the UN checking mechanism and weapons embargo decision that are destabilizing the security and stability of Yemen and the entire region.
President al-Alimi heaped praise on the significant developmental and humanitarian interventions by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates saying" Unless this support, the government would have been today unable to deliver on its basic obligation, including inability to pay the employees' salaries".
The Chairman of the PLC stated that he is looking forward to a greater international economic support to sustain the government's humanitarian response plans and the efforts of the Arab brothers and friends in order to establish peace in Yemen in accordance with the peace references that are nationally, regionally and internationally agreed on.
