Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fishery Salem al-Soqatri discussed today, Wednesday, in the transitional capital Aden, with the Resident- Representative of the UN Organization for Food and Agriculture (FAO) in Yemen Hussein Ajadin aspects of cooperation and the FAO's interventions in the two sectors of agriculture and fishery.
The conversations covered a set of projects carried out by the FAO in some governorates, including the Response Project to Bolster Food Security in Yemen, funded by the World Bank, the Project for Developing Rural Livelihoods in Soqatra, al-Mahra and Ottoma District in Dhamar governorate, funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and the national centers for controlling locusts.
