Taiz Governor Nabil Shamsan held talks with a joint team from the United Nations Environment Program and the International Organization for Migration on the program's perspective for sustainable management of rubble; recycling debris of devastated buildings; and involving affected communities through the "Cash for Work" program.
Governor Shamsan affirmed that the local environmental priorities revolve around recycling garbage and waste, and seeking assistance from the United Nations Environment Program and other competent agencies to recycle waste, and find sustainable solutions to water and sanitation issues.
