PM receives a report by facts-finding panel about Mansoura gas station explosion

Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak received today, Thursday, a detailed report by the committee assigned to investigate into the incident of the explosion of the gas pump in the district of al-Mansoura, in the temporary capital Aden.

The facts-finding panel established by a Prime Minister decree no 26 of 2024, chaired by General Director of the Yemeni Corporation for Oil and Gas and included representatives from the ministries and authorities in charge.

The panel tasked with investigating into the incident of al-Mansoura gas station explosion and reviewing licenses and control regulations relating to the gas stations businesses.

The committee reported that there are 122 gas pumps in operation in Aden out of them 77 pumps are unlicensed, established in violation of the controlling regulations.

The panel's report included a number of recommendations to work on in order to correct the irregularities and ensure safety standards as pre-requisite for gas stations operations.
