The 40th edition of the Apollonia Festival of Arts in Sozopol opened on Thursday evening, the Bulgarian news agency has reported.

"The festival will run until September 7 with more concerts, films, plays, exhibitions and literary events.

The Apollonia Festival of Arts is organized by the Apollonia Foundation established in 1991. The festival first took place in 1984. It aims to preserve cultural traditions and support new talent in the arts, said the organizers. BTA is a media partner of the even"
