Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Turkey Mohammed Turaik discussed today, Wednesday, with the Director of the Middle East and North Africa at the Turkish Foreign Ministry Ahmed Dermal bilateral relations between the two countries.

The conversations touched upon the humanitarian situations in Yemen and the economic hardships the Yemeni people have been experiencing due Iran-backed Houthi militias' coup and war.

Turaik delivered a detailed report to Demral about the natural disasters Yemen has been plagued by recently due to torrential rainfalls and floods that have caused wide-scale material damages, further exacerbated the already dire humanitarian crisis.

He highlighted the pressing need for an urgent humanitarian interventions to sustain the government's efforts to relieve as many as 50 thousand Yemeni families have been badly affected by the natural disaster of the heavy rains and floods.

The Turkish official demonstrated understanding and promised Turkish contribution to the ongoing humanitarian actions in Yemen to help the affected people by the natural disasters.
