Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi received here today the UK Ambassador to Yemen Abda Sharif.
Talks went over the bilateral relations, national and regional developments, and ways of joint coordination between the two friendly countries at all levels.
The meeting also touched on Yemen's government economic reforms, the ongoing catastrophic repercussions of the Houthi terrorist attacks on oil installations, navigation ships, and international shipping lines, and their abuses against international relief workers and human rights activists.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and the aspirations to develop them with the new British government in various fields.
Al-Alimi thanked the continued British support for the Yemeni Coast Guard forces, the joint efforts to combat terrorism, arms and drug smuggling, organized crime, and the punitive measures required to deter Houthi militias’ violations of humanitarian law and relevant international resolutions.
