President al-Alim receives Defense Minister in Saudi Arabia

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) received today, Wednesday His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Salman, Minister of Defense in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

HRH Prince Khalid bin Salman conveyed to the Chairman of the PLC the greetings of his brother, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz al- Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz , Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and their wishes for Yemen and people security, stability and peace for its people.

For his part, President al-Alimi asked HRH Prince Khalid bin Salman to convey his own and the members' greetings of the PLC to the Saudi leadership and their wishes for good health and wellness and for the government and people of the Kingdom all progress and prosperity.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the Yemeni national arena including the joint efforts to allay the Yemeni people's suffering, the developments or the regional and international mediation to launch an inclusive political process sponsored by the UN in line with the well-known terms of the peace references that are agreed on nationally, regionally and internationally.
The Chairman of the PLC briefed the Saudi Minister of Defense on the latest development of the Yemeni situation and the track of the reforms the Yemeni government has been carrying out and the required support to boost them at different levels.
President al-Alimi reaffirmed the PLC's and the government's support for the good offices of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to improve the Yemeni people's living conditions, achieve comprehensive and fair peace and restore the state's institutions, security, stability and development.

The President highly praised the Kingdom's steadfast stance in support of the Yemeni people and its political leadership in different stages and circumstances, appreciating the Kingdom's keenness to put an end of the humanitarian suffering created by Iran-backed Terrorist Houthi militias.

For his own part, HRH Prince Khalid bin Salman reiterated the Kingdom's support for the PLC and the government and the Kingdom's encouragement to reach an inclusive and permanent political solution under the guidance of the UN to achieve security, peace, stability and development in Yemen.

HRH renewed the Kingdom's steadfast stance in support of the security and stability of the Republic of Yemen.

The Director of the Republic Presidency Office Dr. Yahya al-Shuaibia and Saudi Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Mohammed Sa'eed al-Jaber were in attendance.
