The Head of the Yemeni Mission to the European Union Ambassador Mohammed Taha Mustafa discussed with the Director-General of the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations Andreas Papaconstantinou on Friday the results of the Sixth Senior Officials' Meeting on Yemen, held on the 7th of May in Brussels.
He emphasized the commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Government to peace efforts to end the suffering of the Yemeni people, despite the persistent intransigence and military and economic escalation of the Houthi militias against the Yemeni people.
He appreciated the European Union's support and continued provision of assistance to Yemen in various fields, especially the humanitarian aspect.
The Director-General of the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations affirmed the European Union's continued support for the Yemeni people, especially the most vulnerable groups, and reiterated the European Union's continued support for the peace efforts in Yemen led by the UN Envoy.
