Governor of Lahj governorate Maj. General Ahmed Turki discussed today, Sunday, with Country Director of Islamic Relief Organization (IRO) in Yemen Saqiq Khan the organization's humanitarian interventions in the governorate.
Khan has confirmed that the IRO is going to carry out 3 water projects and train 75 community midwives.
The governor praised the IRO's significant contributions to the humanitarian actions in the governorate, underlining the need for further humanitarian and development interventions.
On another development, the governor discussed with the Chairwoman of the Solidarity Organization for Development in the temporary capital Aden Dr. Khadija al-Harsi the action-plan to carry out the modern institution project, funded by Oxfam.
The project is about livelihood aims to support 210 beneficiaries of the most in need in the two districts of Tuban and al-Qabaita.
