President al-Alimi chairs meeting for Marib Local Authority, executive offices
[29/04/2024 06:49]
MARIB-SABA
Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad Mohammed al-Alimi, along with Council members Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi and Othman Mujalli, met with local authorities and executive offices in Marib Governorate.

The meeting took place as part of a presidential visit to inspect the situation in the governorate.

At the beginning of the meeting, Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Governor of Marib Sultan al-Aradah welcomed President al-Alimi and the Council members on behalf of the people of Marib.

He reviewed the overall security, military, economic, developmental and humanitarian situations in the governorate, as well as the urgent challenges and needs.

In his speech, President al-Alimi praised the significant achievements in Marib Governorate across different fields, despite the major challenges and exceptional circumstances of continuous war, influx of displaced persons, and limited resources.

He commended the local authority and the community in Marib for their unity during the past years.

The President emphasized that Marib Governorate is a "safety valve for the republic" and a gateway to reclaiming the institutions of the state and the remaining areas under the brutal control of the Houthi terrorist militia, particularly the capital Sana'a.

"We affirm we will launch from here, and from all governorates, to liberate the areas that are still under the control of the Houthi terrorist militia supported by the Iranian regime," he said.

"Victory will be achieved through the armed forces in all their formations and the popular resistance supporting them."

He pointed out that Marib Governorate, which rejected the coup since its beginning and resisted the dark sectarian agenda of the Houthi militia and the Iranian agenda in Yemen, is considered a symbol of the Republic and its unity.
He highlighted that the Council's leadership gives Marib top priority and attention.

President al-Alimi commended the efforts of the local authority's leadership, headed by Council Member Brigadier General Sultan al-Aradah, as well as the deputies, executive offices, party leaders, and community members in foiling many of the Houthi militia's plots to destabilize the security and stability of the governorate.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining internal unity, enhancing security, stability, development, and comprehensive mobilization to confront the acts of the Houthi terrorist militia in their controlled areas, especially in terms of recruiting and mobilizing children into sectarian training camps.

"We must work on multiple tracks and adopt the slogan 'a Hand that Builds and a Hand that Fights to Create Peace'," said President al-Alimi.

Earlier, President Dr. Rashad Mohammed al-Alimi arrived in Marib accompanied by Council members Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi and Sheikh Othman Mujalli on a visit to assess the military and security situation, as well as to observe the conditions and developmental needs of the citizens.
