Secretary-General of Hadhramout's Local Council in Saleh al-Omqi held talks with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Yemen Shao Zheng in the city of Mukalla today.

They discussed the situation and developments in Hadhramout. Al-Omqi welcomed the Chinese diplomat and his accompanying delegation, their second visit to Hadhramout, which reflects the Chinese interest in strengthening support for the developmental efforts of the local authority.

He highlighted the importance of the Chinese market to Yemen as China is the biggest importer to Yemen, calling for supporting commercial houses linked to China by granting them more facilities to import various goods.
