Bulgarian research vessel returns from polar expedition

The Bulgarian naval research vessel RSV 421 returned to the country back from the 32nd expedition to Antarctica on Wednesday, the country's news agency BTA said.

The research vessel was on the 32nd expedition to the Bulgarian polar base on Livingston Island.

The crew of RSV 421 "convincingly over-accomplished its tasks", Naval Academy Rector Prof. Boyan Mednikarov told BTA shortly before the ship cast anchor at Varna Port. "RSV 421 proved that Bulgaria has the capacity to perform scientific research in the Antarctic conditions. All projects were completed successfully.
