The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. Health minister visits hospitals, medica establishments in Makha

Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qasim Buhaybeh conducted a field visit Wednesday to hospitals and healthcare facilities in the western coast of Taiz Governorate.

The minister's visit, accompanied by the Governor of Hodeida,Dr. Al-Hasan Tahir, included the Second of December Hospital, the Saudi Field Hospital, al-Makha General Hospital, as well as the Martyr Abdulaziz Abdulghani Health Center in the city of the Second of December.

At the end of the visit, the Minister of Public Health and Population held a meeting with the directors of the western coast districts and the health office managers, during which they discussed the healthcare needs and the health office plans for the coming period.

Minister Buhaybeh instructed the directors of the districts and health officials to prepare an integrated matrix that includes urgent needs according to priorities in various aspects.

Dr. Tariq Al-Azzani, the Director of the Medical Services Department, praised the visit of the Minister of Public Health and Population to the districts of the western coast, noting that this visit is the first of its kind since the outbreak of the war.

He pointed out that the province needs attention and an improvement in its healthcare services, hoping that this visit will yield fruitful results in the near future.

Director-General of the Health Office in the province Dr. Abdulrahman al-Saberi presented a detailed report on the health situation on the western coast and the urgent needs, including increasing operational budgets, establishing specialized medical centers, combating the spread of epidemics, medical supplies, training and rehabilitation for medical staff, and upgrading some health centers to rural hospitals.

Additionally, reports from the health branch directors in the western coast districts were reviewed.
