State Minister, the Governor of Aden, Ahmad Lamlas discussed Tuesday with Coordination of the UN Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen Dego Zorella aspects of coordination between the local authority and the UN in implementing humanitarian interventions in the province.
The meeting touched upon a number of issues associated with relief and security activities as well as illegal migration and applied mechanisms in coordination and communications with the Presidential Leadership Council and concerned bodies to tackle those issues and finding active solutions to them.
Lamlas reviewed efforts exerted by local authority to improve administrative work and improving services provided to citizens within available capabilities, hoping that Aden Province will be the ideal example to other provinces and expressing importance of transferring into developmental and sustainable projects.
For his part, the UN official praised facilitations provided by the local authority in Aden to UN organizations.
He confirmed keenness of the UN on realizing peace and tackling economic situation in Yemen.
