Member of Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Brigadier Tariq Saleh held talks today, Thursday, in London with the a number of the British Parliamentarians from different political parties including the Tories, Labor and Scottish National Party.
The discussions covered topical issues in Yemen including UN-led efforts to make peace, increasingly growing risks posed by Iran-backed Terrorist Houthi militias' attacks on the maritime navigation and international shipping lanes in the Red Sea and the humanitarian situations.
Brig. Saleh provided an informative presentation about the developments in Yemen, the PLC's and Yemeni government's efforts to revive the UN-led peace process and the extremely difficult humanitarian situations.
The PLC's member reiterated the commitment of the PLC and the government to resume the political process and to deal constructively with all regional and international proposals aiming to bring fair and comprehensive peace.
The British MPs have confirmed their steadfast support for the internationally recognized Yemeni government, categorically rejecting the hostile actions carried out by the Houthi militias against the international maritime navigation , underscoring the need to reach an inclusive political solution to the Yemeni crisis.
