Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ahmed bin Mubarak presided over the first meeting for the Purchasing Electricity- Generating Fuel Tender Committee here on Wednesday.
The meeting reviewed mechanisms of accomplishing the committee's tasks in accordance with the decision of forming it and the demanded role from the relevant ministries and bodies to facilitate its work.
Prime Minister confirmed support of the government to the committee and helping it achieving its tasks and abiding by the outmost principles of transparency and accountability in all the tenders' measures.
He directed the ministries and relevant bodies to cooperate with the committee to facilitate its tasks and create real partnership with the private sector in the framework of integrative responsibilities in this exceptional situation.
Bin Mubarak revealed the government's process of procedures of forming the Supreme Committee for Tenders in accordance with directives of Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi.
He emphasized importance of the committee's tasks regarding checking up the quality of fuel and adopting long-term planning to provide fuel by suitable prices.
For their part, the head and members of the committee expressed thanks for the confidence granted by Prime Minister to them, pledging of abiding by implementation of Prime Minister's directive in all tender procedures.
