FM's advisor receives credentials of UN's Humanitarian Coordinator and representative of UNHCR

Yemen foreign minister's advisor Jamal Awad received here today the credentials of the UN's Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen Julien Harneis.

Awad welcomed the new Coordinator in our country expressing the readiness of the Ministry to provide assistance and possible facilities for his success in his work tasks, stressing the importance of the role of the Resident Coordinator in these exceptional circumstances that Yemen is going through and the need for more support and aid, humanitarian and development wise.

For his part, the United Nations Resident Coordinator expressed his happiness to work as the United Nations Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen.

The Advisor also received the credentials of the new resident representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Yemen.
