Planning Minister opens a consultation workshop on humanitarian programs plan for Yemen for 2024

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Waed Badhib, inaugurated a consultation workshop on the humanitarian program plan for Yemen for the year 2024.

The workshop which attracted a broad participation from the government, interest groups and international organizations discusses several topics on humanitarian response priorities related to the needs of the relevant sectors and ministries, and the level of joint coordination between agencies and organizations that are partners in humanitarian activity in Yemen.

The minister appreciated the efforts made by the Office of the United Nations Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen and the continuous coordination with the government to strengthen joint action mechanisms and move forward in order to re-correct the course of humanitarian work and discuss the needs of current and future humanitarian and development programs with full clarity and transparency.

He stressed the necessity of attention and benefit from the results of the consultations that took place at the end of the year 2023 AD between all humanitarian work stakeholders, to ensure the achievement of positive results from the assistance prfovided and the interventions implemented based on the actual need.
