Foreign Ministry welcomes statement of Special Envoy of the UN to Yemen

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has welcomed the statement issued by the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary General to Yemen Hans Grundberg about the efforts have been made to reach a road map sponsored by the UN to end the war triggered by Houthi militia.

The Ministry reaffirmed that it is going to deal constructively with all proposals aiming to bring a settlement to the crisis in Yemen through peaceful means in accordance with the three terms of the peace references including the GCC's Initiative, its executive mechanisms, Outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the International Security Council resolution 2216, to achieve the Yemeni peoples' aspirations and hopes.

The Ministry expressed thanks to all efforts have been exerted by brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman to push the settlement, resume the political process.
