Governor of Taiz Nabil Shamsan inspected Friday the ongoing work in the Cardiac and Blood Vessels Center and the center's sections and clinics, which include open heart surgery and kidney transplantation clinics and other medical services.
Governor Shamsan emphasized speeding up finalizing work of emergency cardiac section for providing integrative services to patients, confirming support of the local authority to this unique medical facility.
He praised efforts of the medical crew that works professionally to receive patients and providing costs of surgeries to help them avoid high travel costs for medication outside the country.
For his part, the Head of the Cardiac and Blood Vessels Center Dr. Abu Ther al-Janadi reviewed the medical services provided by the center during the past period for around 44 thousand patients, the most of them were carrying out open-heart surgeries to 650 patients successfully.
He also pointed out that the center has carried out 36 kidney transplantation surgeries and carried out 1391 surgeries to blood vessels and that work is underway to open the emergency cardiac section.
