Al-Erada confers with US Ambassador over ongoing efforts to resume political process

Member of the Presidential Command Council (PLC) Maj. General Sultan al-Erada held discussions today, Tuesday, with the American Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Steven Fagin over latest developments in the Yemeni national scene at the political, economic and humanitarian levels and the course of the peace process in our country.

The virtual conversations, which conducted via video conference devices, also covered Yemeni-American bilateral relations and cooperation in different fields.

The ongoing regional and international efforts aiming to resume the political negotiations and revive the peace process in order to reach an inclusive settlement to end the Yemeni crisis were elaborately discussed.

Al-Erada reiterated the commitment of the PLC and the government to the peace option to put an end of the Yemeni peoples' suffering, establish security and stability all over the country.

The member of the PLC stressed that it is very important for any regional or international effort to make peace to adhere to the terms of the peace references including the GCC's Initiative and its implementation mechanism, the Outcomes of the National Dialogue and the UN Security Council Resolution No. 2216.
