Chief of Staff, the Commander of the Joint Operations Lieutenant General Sagheer bin Aziz, has held separated meetings with Commander of the Egyptian Navy Forces Marshal Ashraf Atwah and Commander of Air Forces Mahmoud Abduljawad, discussing with them cooperation between the two countries in military and marine security fields.
The meetings tackled a number of issues and topics of common concern and means of improving military cooperation and exchanging expertise, as well as mechanisms of coordinating efforts to face national challenges, including enhancing capabilities of the Yemeni armed forces to perform their national and Arab duties.
The two parties also discussed cooperation and operational and informational coordination in efforts of fighting terrorism and smuggling and enhancing international maritime navigation security under the joint threats of Iran and its Houthi militia's hands and terrorist groups in line with them.
Bin Aziz commended positions of Egypt's support to Yemeni people to regain their state and realize peace and stability.
He pointed out to joint factors between the two armies of the two countries.
He expressed aspirations for more Egyptian support to the Yemeni armed forces in field of training and academic qualification and in logistic and technical fields to boost competence of Yemeni marine and air forces.
