Defense Minister launches annual conference for marine forces

Minister of Defense General Lieutenant Mohsen al-Da'iri has launched Thursday the Annual Analytic Conference for Marine Forces and Coastal Defense 2023, which is being held under the motto of " Regaining Readiness for Defending Regional Water against Terrorism and Piracy."

A number of reports and tasks implemented by Marine Forces during the past year in operational and fighting training field, moral preparation and evaluating works and tasks have been discussed.

Minister of Defense praised tasks of marine forces in protecting regional waters and Yemeni coasts, stressing importance of high readiness to face terrorism and smuggling by Houthi terrorist militia through secret line extended from Iranian Bandar Abbas Port for providing the militia with weapons, drags and banned materials.

"Houthi terrorist militia's coup against the state has resulted in destroying the armed forces and its infrastructure and its camps," he said.

He stressed cooperation and integration between different units of armed forces through unifying joint plans and tasks and implementing reports and recommendations made by the conference.

For his part, the Commander of the Marine forces and Coastal Defense Vice Admiral Abdullah al-Nakhi confirmed that the marine forces are working hard to keep its readiness high and implement its tasks of protecting regional waters and Yemeni coasts.
