Central bank governor meets the US Federal Reserve delegation in Marrakesh

Central Bank Governor Ahmed Ghaleb met today, in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh, with the US Federal Reserve delegation participating in the 2023 annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank.

During the meeting, aspects of the existing relationship between the two sides and ways to strengthen it during the next stage were reviewed, specifically the banking services provided by the US Federal Bank to the Central Bank of Yemen and assistance in building the capabilities of its employees in various functions, enabling it to carry out its duties with high professionalism and serve the Yemeni banking system.

For their part, the US Federal Reserve delegation praised the level of implementation of financial operations related to foreign currency auctions that are covered through it and their compliance with the required international compliance standards, stressing their readiness to provide all aspects of support to the bank in this aspect.
