Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Major General Sultan al-Erada met today, Tuesday, with a government team headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Administration Abdul Latif al-Fujair.
The team includes representatives of the Ministries of Local Administration and Finance and the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers.
During the meeting the team briefed al-Erada on the objectives of their visit to Marib governorate, most important of all evaluating the performance of the local authority offices administratively, financially and technically, identifying difficulties and needs and submitting them in an integrated matrix to the Council of Ministers.
The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed that it is very important to enhance transparency, institutional work, evaluating performance, supporting local authorities in all governorates and building their capabilities to meet people’s needs, provide services, security and stability, and overcome difficulties and challenges, in addition to the responsibility for monitoring, evaluating and holding accountable for any breach, negligence or violation in performance of regulations and laws.
