President al-Alimi holds meeting with Security Supreme Committee

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Dr. Rashad al-Alimi held Monday a meeting with the Supreme Security Committee.

The meeting included Minister of Defense, the Chairman of the Supreme Security, General Lieutenant Mohsen al-Da'iri, and Members of the Committee, Minister of Interior General Ibrahim Hidan, heads of political and national security and authority of the military intelligence.

The meeting discussed a number of files and security and military topics; including current and future repercussions of the influx of illegal refugees to Yemen and needed procedures to deter plots of Houthi militia and terrorist organization coordinating with it.

The meeting discussed reports by heads of relevant apparatus and taken measures regarding them.

The meeting discussed a report by Deputy Minister of Interior General Mohammad al-Mahmoudi, the Head of Crisis Cell, regarding latest developments related to the terrorist attack, which killed the employee of the World Food Program Muayad Hamidi in Taiz last July.

The meeting confirmed the State's commitment of cracking down on terrorist elements involved in the attack and providing all guarantees to secure the work of the international organizations and agencies and easing access of their humanitarian interventions to the needy people across the country.

President al-Alimi stressed the significant role of the Supreme Security Committee in improving taking decision and swift response to terrorist acts, confirming the teamwork to face threats crossing border in coordination with regional and international allies.
