The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Afrah al-Zouba stated that the Yemeni state undertakes its constitutional and sovereign responsibility to protect its citizens, lands, coasts, ports and territorial waters, and that enabling its institutions to carry out this responsibility is a key element for the security of Bab al-Mandeb, the Red Sea and international navigation and trade.

Egyptian ambassador briefs President al-Alimi on facilitations to Yemeni migrants

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi received Monday Ambassador of Egypt Ahmad Farooq discussing with him mutual relations between the two brotherly countries.

The Egyptian ambassador briefed President al-Alimi on directives of the President of Egypt Abdulfattah al-Sisi to the Egyptian government and concerned departments on giving facilitations to Yemeni residents and coming to Egypt.

" The directives of the Egyptian presidency come in response to demand of the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council during his recent meeting with President al-Sisi in Cairo," said the Egyptian ambassador.

The directives of Egyptian presidency embody commitment of Egyptian government and people on supporting the Yemeni people and their political leadership, he added.

Ambassador Farooq made it clear that the Egyptian foreign ministry and concerned authorities will consecutively announce mechanisms and details associated with facilitations given to Yemeni residents and comers to Egypt in accordance with the presidential directives.

President al-Alimi expressed thanks and appreciation to his brother Abdulfattah al-Sisi and the Egyptian government for this generous initiative and their remarkable positions in different stages and conditions.

He reminded the Egyptian honorable positions to the Arab Republic of Egypt towards Yemeni people and their republican regime and Egypt's Arabic and humanitarian role within the Arab Coalition for Supporting Yemeni Legitimacy.
