Deputy Governor of Hadhramout for the Valley and Desert Affairs Amer al-Ameri discussed Tuesday with Director of World Food Program in Aden Mark Jordon interventions of the program in districts of the valley and the desert.
The meeting tackled the most difficult challenges facing the program's work and means of solving them to ensure continuing the work and arrival of the assistances to the deserved as demanded.
Al-Ameri confirmed significance of updating the list of the beneficiaries of the program's assistances and including local authority and state bodies in all processes of the projects to ensure honesty according to correct mechanisms.
He pointed out to necessity of expanding the circle of the local partners in the implementation and finding sustainable development projects providing services to big number of civilians continuously, confirming keenness on providing facilitations to the program to secure implementation of its interventions.
For his part, Jordon praised efforts of local authority in Hadhramout on facilitating challenges facing the work of the WFP and providing proposals and comments to improve its performance, pointing out to taking the proposals into consideration and discussing them with the WFP's management.
