President al-Alimi arrives in Jeddah to participate in Arab Summit

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, arrived today, Thursday, in the city of Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to contribute to the 32nd Session of Arab Summit which set to start tomorrow, Friday.

His Royal Higness Prince Badr bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Amir of Mecca Region along with Secretary General of Arab League Ahmed Abu al-Ghait, Secretary General of Jeddah governor Saleh bin Ali al-Turki, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Yemen Mohammed al-Jabber and several senior Saudi officials received President al-Alimi at King Abudulaziz's International airport.

President al-Alim is going to participate in the Arab Summit along with the members of the Presidential Council Dr. Abdullah al-Alim and Othman Mujalli, Director of the Republic Presidency Office Dr. Yahya Ashuaibi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed BinMubarak.

The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council is set to deliver a speech at the Arab Summit and holds talks with Arab leaders over the developments of the Yemeni situation.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency Saba (Saba) the President expressed his hopes that the Arab Summit gathering will come out with significant decisions to serve the interests of Arab Nation including alleviating the Yemeni peoples' suffering, achieving its aspirations for restoring the State's institutions, eliminating Iran-backed Houthi militias' coup.
