FC Barcelona won the Spanish Football League title, after defeating its neighbor Espanyol by four goals to two, to settle the struggle for the La Liga title, four rounds before the end of the competition.

Barcelona’s coronation came in light of its success in winning the confrontation against Espanyol, to widen the difference to 14 points between it and its closest pursuers (second-placed Real Madrid), and to celebrate the title after a long absence since 2019 from its coffers and in an exceptional season for the Catalan team, which is suffering from a crisis.
