Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the launch of the first flight to evacuate 179 Yemeni nationals from the city of Port Sudan to the interim capital, Aden, aboard Yemen Airways, and three other flights will follow today and tomorrow to each of the cities of Aden and Sana'a.
The ministry said, in a statement that about 865 citizens had previously been evacuated by sea to the city of Jeddah, in coordination with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and that work was under way to evacuate all Yemenis wishing to return to the homeland.
In this regard, it highly appreciates the facilities provided by the Sudanese authorities, whether with regard to organizing shelter or evacuation operations.
