President al-Alimi seeks European support to inclusive reforms

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, along with Member of the Council Faraj al-Bahsani, received Thursday the European Commissioner for International Partnership.
The two parties discussed latest developments in Yemen and needed European pressure to force Houthi terrorist militia to interact seriously with efforts of realizing peace and making interests of Yemeni people above interests of Iranian Regime and its sabotage agenda in the region.
The meeting touched upon economic and service reforms adopted by the Presidential Leadership Council and the Government and challenges facing the state for alleviating suffering of Yemeni people after the terrorist militia's attacks on oil establishments and supplies of international energy.
President al-Alimi praised the European position towards Yemeni people and its aspirations in regaining peace, stability and development in the country, hoping for European partnership and more support in different fields.
For her part, the European official confirmed commitment of the European Union in supporting the Presidential Leadership Council and the government through providing bigger package of humanitarian and developmental assistances.
She also confirmed readiness of the European Union on providing technical assistance needed for enhancing institutional and economic reforms.
