President al-Alimi receives American envoy, Ambassador to Yemen

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Council, along with the Council's members Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi and Othman Mujalli received today, Thursday, the United States' envoy to Yemen Timothy Lenderking and Ambassador Steven Fagin.

The session intended to discuss the developments of the Yemeni situation, regional and international good offices to revive peace track amid the Terrorist Houthi militias' intransigence and insistence on further worsening the humanitarian suffering and threatening world's energy supplies.

The Chairman and members of the Presidential Council reiterated the Council's and government's position toward peace efforts and their constructive dealing with the UN-brokered humanitarian truce which the Houthi militias eliminated by their terrorist attacks on the oil facilities and seaports that are crucially important for millions Yemenis.

President al-Alimi stressed on the important role of the international community in deterring the Houthi terrorist intimidations and the Iranian regime's flagrant interferences in the Yemeni affairs through sending more weapons shipments internationally banned, in an attempt to make Yemen a launching pad to threat the international security and peace.

The President reiterated the commitment of the Council and the government to the sustainable and comprehensive peace approach that is based on the agreed on peace references, support the efforts of the two envoys of the UN and US, and all good offices aiming to alleviate the Yemeni peoples' suffering, restore the state's institutions, eliminate the Iranian regime backed Terrorist Houthi militias' coup.
