His Excellency Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Tuesday, the Director of the World Bank for Yemen on the sidelines of his visit to the Kingdom of Jordan.
The meeting touched on the World Bank's interventions in the economic and development fields, and prospects for expanding them, especially in the fields of education and social protection.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the role of the World Bank in supporting programs of economic and service reforms, and alleviating the human suffering of the people, stressing the keenness of the Council and the government to provide all the required facilities in this context.
The meeting raised observations related to the performance of some of the World Bank's partner organizations and institutions, and the procedures required to govern their interventions, including ensuring that humanitarian aid reaches its real beneficiaries. The meeting was attended by Director of the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Yahya Al-Shuaibi.
