A meeting held Monday chaired by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and Yemen’s Governor to the World Bank Dr. Afrah al-Zouba and attended by a high-level World Bank delegation led by the Bank’s Vice President for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan Ousmane Dione discussed ways to enhance partnership and expand support across development, humanitarian, service, and economic sectors in the country.

Al-Erada presides over expanded meeting in Saba University

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Sultan al-Eradah presided over Wednesday a meeting with leadership of Saba University attended by Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalik, Minister of Public Health and Population Qasem Buhaibeh, Minister of Youth and Sports Nayef al-Bakri and Secretary General of Ministers' Council Muti'a Dammaj.

The meeting discussed education process in Saba University and its needs. A short report on the university's activities and its accomplishments during the past six years has been discussed.

Al-Eradah urged the government to support the university, approve its improvement plan and approving the new colleges and sections included in the plan led be minerals college, in addition to tackling all obstacles associated with the budget, bonuses, increasing salaries and other problems facing the university.

For his part, prime minister expressed admiration of the university's great accomplishments in short time and its role of accepting thousands of students from different provinces in its colleges.

He confirmed readiness of the government to approve the university's plan and approving all what are included in it and working with the university leadership and relevant government bodies on solving all problems facing the university.

President of the University Mohammad al-Qadasi made it clear that the university's nine colleges include 16750 students distributed on more than 350 specializations, in addition to 430 students enrolled in higher studies in seven sections.
He reviewed the university's plan of opening new colleges and sections.
