Minister of Public Health and Population Qasem Buhaibeh discussed Wednesday with the delegation of UK Foreign Office and Commonwealth cooperation aspects in health sector.
Buhaibeh reviewed health situation and government's efforts for rehabilitating health sector, which has been damaged over Houthi militia's war on Yemeni people, pointing out to significance of supporting health sector in different health programs and projects, especially in field of primary healthcare, maternity and childhood and programs of nutrition and emergency.
He also reviewed violations committed by Houthi terrorist militia in provinces under its control and banning vaccination campaigns, which resulted in resurfacing pandemics like polio and the militia's banning of birth control.
For its part, the UK delegation showed great understandings of health needs in Yemen, praising efforts of health institutions, especially in field of vaccination.
