An expanded meeting chaired by the Deputy Governor of Marib, Dr. Abd Rabbo Miftah, discussed the development of a mechanism for the continuation of the delivery of humanitarian aid to the displaced in the Wadi District.
The meeting, which included the Director-General of the Governorate Police, Brigadier General Yahya Humaid and the Director of the Executive Unit for the Displaced, Saif Muthanna, reviewed the humanitarian situation of the IDPs, the growing needs and the weakness of the interventions provided by the organizations, in addition to the opportunities and challenges facing humanitarian and relief work, and the coordination of interventions between various organizations and local authorities to ensure its continuity.
Miftah stressed the importance of strengthening the humanitarian partnership between the local authority and organizations working in the humanitarian field, which contributes to facilitating the tasks and interventions of the organizations.
