Al-Alimi receives senior Kuwaiti officials

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi received, separately, at his residence in Bayan Palace, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Kuwait, Lieutenant-General Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and Foreign Minister Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah, who expressed the Kuwaiti government's welcome to the visit of His Excellency the President and his accompanying delegation.

During the meetings, Kuwaiti officials pledged to reconsider increasing support to cooperation programs with Yemen, especially in the economic, humanitarian, political, and service fields, including increasing the number of academic scholarships in the security and military fields, and providing the necessary facilities to Yemeni residents and expatriates and their children in Kuwait.

The Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Ministers affirmed that the royal directives require overcoming all difficulties and providing all forms of support to the Presidential Leadership Council and its legitimate government in Yemen. For his part, Foreign Minister Ahmed Nasser Al-Sabah affirmed that the State of Kuwait will work with all available means to support the just Yemeni cause in various regional and international forums, saying that the references for the solution to the crisis, including Resolution 2216, are sacred constants for Kuwaiti diplomacy.

During the meetings, President Rashad Al-Alimi expressed his appreciation for the Kuwaiti support to Yemen from His Highness, the Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the Kuwaiti government.

The President affirmed that the Presidential Leadership Council has moved forward in fulfilling its pledges in order to restore the state and achieve the aspirations of Yemenis for security, stability and peace, based on the sincere support provided by Kuwait and all the countries of the coalition to support legitimacy led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. He expressed his confidence that the distinguished relations between Yemen and Kuwait will represent a lever for many urgent and strategic benefits for the Yemeni people, and for the security and stability of the entire region.
