The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

VP follows ongoing combat operations in Marib governorate

Vice President of the Republic (Lt Gen) Ali Mohsen Saleh conducted today a telephone call to Governor of Mairb governorate Maj. General Sultal al-Eradah to get familiar with the latest developments about the ongoing combat operations against Iran-allied Houthi militiamen.

Al-Eradah reported to Mohsen about the battles have been fought by the National Military troops and tribesmen backed by Saudi-led Arab Coalition airfares.

The Vice President applauded the brave fighting of the government troops, deeply appreciating the great sacrifices the armed forces have been making to push the Houthi rebels out of Marib and other regions and to go on restoring the state.

General Mohsen expressed deep gratitude to the Saudi-led Arab Coalition's role in sustaining the Yemeni military in the battles against Iran-backed Houthi militiamen.
