Deputy Foreign Minister Dr. Mansoor Bajash, discussed with Pakistan's Ambassador to Yemen Bilal Akbar the relations of cooperation between the two countries and prospects for their development, in addition to coordinating positions on issues of common interest in international forums.
During the meeting, Bajash touched on the Houthi militia's continued military escalation especially in Marib governorate and the western coast, pointing to the deterioration of the humanitarian situation due to the continued flow of displaced people fleeing the crackdown of the militias backed by Iran, calling on the international community to pressure the Houthi militias to stop their escalation and attacks and to comply with calls for peace.
He affirmed the Yemeni government's keenness to reach a comprehensive and sustainable peace based on the basic references agreed upon at the national, regional and international levels.
