The Saudi Cabinet has affirmed that bringing peace to Yemen is a priority for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reiterating the continuation of work with the United Nations to reach a comprehensive political solution in Yemen.
In a meeting chaired by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud today, the Cabinet indicated that the Kingdom retains its full right to defend its security and its citizens in accordance with international humanitarian law and its customary rules.
The Cabinet stressed the contents of the message of the Kingdom’s permanent delegation to the United Nations to the Security Council, in the wake of the Iranian-backed terrorist militia’s targeting of civilians in the eastern region, Jizan and Najran, calling on the international community to assume its responsibility towards this militia and its arms supplier, and to deprive it of resources.
