Yemen's Ambassador to Baghdad al-Khadher Marmash discussed Monday with the Head of Arab Department at Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs Usama Mahdi means of boosting and improving relations between the two countries.
Marmash talked about Houthi militia's rejection to Arab and International initiatives for stopping the war and returning to dialogue table for avoiding bloodshed of Yemeni people and lifting humanitarian suffering caused by the militias' war against the state and neighboring countries and threatening international maritime navigation for serving Iranian agenda for destabilizing Yemen and the region.
He praised Iraqi position supporting Yemen.
For his part, the Iraqi official confirmed the firm position of Iraqi government for supporting efforts aiming at solving Yemeni crisis via UN-sponsored dialogue.
He pointed out to Iraqi position supporting Saudi Initiative for inclusive solution in Yemen announced by the joint declaration of the Saudi-Iraqi summit held recently.
