Foreign Ministry says Houthi attacks on Marib “confirms what gov’t warned of again and again”
[07/02/2021 05:54]

ADEN - SABA
Yemen’s Foreign Ministry said the renewed attack by Houthis on Marib and Aljawf governorates “confirms what the government has warned of again and again: That this group does not believe in peace.”

The Houthi militia resumed attacks by missiles and UAVs on Marib and Aljawf today hours after news emerged that the US will remove them from list of foreign terrorist organizations.

A statement from the Yemeni foreign ministry said the attacks confirm that the group “is going to pressing ahead with violence and force and targeting innocent civilians particularly hundreds of thousands of people who had come to Marib fleeing the militia’s savage crackdown.”

He said the attacks are “what exacerbate the humanitarian crisis in the country.”
