Yemen's political parties condemned on Monday the Houthi militia's seizure of a house belonging to a senior member of the Yemeni parliament and eviction of the parliamentarian's family by force in Sana'a.
Members of the radial theocratic militia stormed on Saturday the house Abdu-razak Al-Hajri the head of the bloc of Islah party representatives in the parliament, evicted Al-Hajri's family out by force and occupied the house.
"Such acts are an organized terrorism and violence," said a statement by the National Coalition of Political Parties, an umbrella consisting of all Yemeni parties.
"The acts reflect the militia's series of crimes against the Yemeni people .. including last March's sentencing of 35 parliamentarians to death."
The statement said many lawmakers are under house arrest and severe oppression by the militia, "crimes which won't deteriorate with lapse of time."
The parties' statement also condemned the Houthi recent open defiance of peace calling on the UN peace envoy to see that under any ceqaasefire deal the militia hand over all the houses of politicians they have seized in Sana'a and other cities.
"It is time the international community end the silence and hesitance, and at to designate the Houthis as a terrorist organization and help the Yemeni people out of the oppression of this guarilla," read the statement.
